The members of our Advisory Board represent a wide range of expertise and achievements in application and web services platforms, targeted online marketing, ecommerce technology and cyber security. The Advisory Board is supportive and aligned with Swoop’s mission and goals.  They are as excited as our Company about the real world possibilities and countless applications the disruptive nature of Swoop’s patented technologies. They provide a tremendous amount of guidance and feedback on our product and business strategies and are well connected to the Giants of Internet technologies.

John Killoran

Chairman

John has led this project from the very beginning as CEO and largest investor.  He has also been the driving force in evolving the technology from the original concept to its current state. He is an entrepreneur, investor and inventor who has founded multiple companies, had successful exits and has over 100 patents to his name. He is formally educated in engineering, law and philosophy and now lives in Europe with homes in Monaco and Megève, France.

Terry Shire

Terry Shire has over 25 years of executive leadership experience with leading publicly traded Silicon Valley enterprise software companies, including senior roles at Salesforce, Vlocity, C3.ai, and Oracle. In addition to being a senior advisor to Swoop, Terry also currently mentors several American and European software and services companies in CRM and AI, serves as a judge to start ups for the CleanTech Open, and advises the Digital Marketing graduate program at the University of San Francisco.

Jay is a Shareholder of Volpe Koenig, a large intellectual property law boutique in the U.S. With a background in electrical engineering, he works with clients from startup entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies to secure, manage and protect their IP portfolios. Jay partners with attorneys and businesses throughout Europe and Asia to facilitate their IP needs in the U.S. A patent holder himself, he frequently speaks and blogs on IP topics–particularly artificial intelligence, medical devices, semiconductors and block chain applications. Jay has co-authored four Intellectual Property books and is a frequent lecturer.  He sits on the Engineering Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at Villanova University.

Kevin McDonald

As an investment banker for the past 30 years, Kevin McDonald has arranged the sale of more than 35 companies in a wide variety of fields.  After receiving his MBA from The Kellogg School of Management, he began his career with the Boston Consulting Group.  He later advised the Government of Poland on the transition to a market economy.  He has published articles in the Harvard Business Review and The Wall Street Journal.

Mark was the CEO of General Electric (GE) Malaysia from 2017 until Feb 2020 where he oversaw the overall business operations across GE Malaysia’s portfolio (with revenues exceeding U$1 billion and over 2,300 employees) and was responsible for leading the execution and development of the company’s long term strategy in Malaysia. During his tenure, GE expanded its footprint in Malaysia with additional investments in its Aviation and IT infrastructure. Before joining GE, he served as the CEO of Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM), a government statutory body chaired by the Prime Minister of Malaysia to implement a national innovation strategy. During this period he was also appointed to the Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council. In his roles at GE and AIM, he was passionate about how innovation and IR 4.0 technologies could be used to help drive both the government and corporate sectors. These skills would be particularly relevant now and augur well to help face the post-Covid future.
